Pinedrops (Pterospora andromeda)
Blooms in mid to late summer; perennial; sticky upright reddish stem
Leaves:   Small leaves like scales
Flowers: Small bell-shaped flowers hang from upper stem; may have yellow, pink or white petals.
Seeds:    Retains brown seeds through winter
Habitat:   Saprophytic relationship with conifers; grows in humus
Range:    Can be found in Washington, Oregon, Idaho (See on Moscow Mountain)
