Western hawkweed (Hieracium scouleri formerly Hieracium albertinum)
Upright, lax stem covered with whitish hairs. Perennial. Sometimes locally referred to as 'Hairy Albert'.
Leaves:   Lance-shaped leaves also covered with whitish hairs. Primarily basal.
Flowers: Cluster of yellow ray flowers with bracts also having whitish hairs.
Habitat:   Meadows, wooded area edges.
Range:    May be found in Washington, Oregon, Idaho (See on Moscow Mountain).
Family:   Asteraceae.
